mitzi loves children and does a wonderful job connecting with all age groups. she has been the children’s ministry intern since the begining of the church in 2007. currently, she is a student at ecu in the nursing program. children love mitzi. seriously. children run to her with their arms stretched wide open screaming ‘mit zzz i i i i.’ she helps to organize and delegate all the responsibilities with integrity’s children’s ministry.

 

Your favorite snack is?

Dr. Pepper and a Three Museteers bar.

 

What is your favorite thing to do?

water tubing. I know, random.

 

What is the craziest thing you have done?

pilot an airplane … no, it wasn’t a desperate attempt to save the plane from crashing.

 

What is the craziest thing you almost did?

sign twelve years of my life away to the US Navy Nurse Corps. funny story. ask me about it.

 

Number of times you’ve been pulled over by a cop.

Once for speeding.So, my criminal record is fairly minimal.

 

What was your best halloween costume?

a penguin … as a little girl … i haven’t been too crazy with the costumes.

 

What were you high school activities?

I was on the swim team. I played trumpet, trombone and baratone … although not at the same time.

 

If someone were to cook you a meal … what would be your perfect dream meal?

Ohh … spaghetti with meat sauce, Italian bread, garden salad with Italian dressing, sweet iced tea with lemon, Godiva chocolate cheesecake … don’t forget the chocolate cheesecake.

 

Whats’s your favorite music?

Ok, I’m a country girl … I love Garth Brooks and Reba McIntire. However, growing up, my parents played a lot of oldies music … so I still have a fond place in my heart for any of the oldies.

 

Who’s your favorite movie star?

Cary Grant. I know, I totally surprised you with that one.

 

What’s your favorite thing to do with your family?

I have special memories of spending newyears eve in my uncle’s backyard with enough food to feed a hundred people (no exaggeration) including pigs smoking in the ground, macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and the like, watching my uncle blow thousands of dollars on the best fire work show you’ll ever see and enjoying my extended family.

 

What are the T.V. shows you just can’t pass up?

Home Improvement, M.A.S.H., The Cosby Show, Little House on the Prairie (I cry every time), E.R., and J.A.G.

 

Have you been anywhere outside of North Carolina?

As far as U.S. cities … I’ve been to: Pittsburgh; Atlanta; Cinncinnati; St. Louis; Cleveland; New York City; Washington D.C.; Baltimore; Hershey, PA; and Tampa Bay. I’ve also been overseas to Austria and Moldova.
